Sweet and sticky spareribs


The secret to all marinated meat recipes is time, so make sure you marinade them for long enough. Aim for a minimum 2 hours, overnight is best

Ingredients

2.5 pounds spareribs
1 tbsp canola oil
2 tbsp salsa barbeque
2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
3 tbsp white vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tsp minced garlic
2 tsp minced ginger
1 cup pineapple juice
1/4 cup brown sugar
Salt and pepper

Directions

In a bowl whisk together all the ingredients for the marinade. Put the ribs in a resealable bag. Pour the marinate into the bag and toss to coat. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

Preheat the oven to 300º. Arrange the ribs on a baking sheet cover with foil and poke holes with folk to vent. Bake for about 1 1/2 hours.

In a meantime pour the marinate into a sauce pan and bring to boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat and simmer until thick. After 11/2 hours remove the foil and raise the oven to 400º F baste the ribs with the marinate and roast for 15 o 20 minutes.
